Miami-Dade County is approving an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) for the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. This agreement spans fiscal years 2027-2029, with Miami-Dade County contributing $285,000 ($95,000 annually) over the three-year period. Broward County will manage and supervise the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), which provides services for the Compact. The agreement was recommended favorably by the Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee and is pending final action by the Board of County Commissioners. This ILA replaces a previous agreement that expired on September 30, 2026. The Compact has facilitated regional projects and secured significant grant funding.
