SOUTHEAST FL REGIONAL CLIMATE COMPACT ILA
Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee · 2026-06-09 · resolution
Miami-Dade County is seeking approval for an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties for services related to the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. Miami-Dade County will contribute $285,000 over three fiscal years (2027-2029), with $95,000 allocated annually. Broward County will retain and supervise the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) on behalf of all four counties. The agreement aims to continue coordinated efforts in addressing climate change impacts and promoting regional resilience. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners with a favorable recommendation. The agreement replaces a previous ILA that expires September 30, 2026.
