Miami-Dade County is authorizing the funding of 22 grants totaling $139,366.00 from the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Community Grants Program Fourth Quarter. The grants are for various entities and will support events and activities in July, August, and September. The Board of County Commissioners is waiving Resolution No. R-130-06 to expedite the allocation of these funds. The Community Grants Program supports nonprofit cultural organizations presenting programs, projects, and events with community involvement. The Panel convened on April 23, 2026, and recommended funding all 22 applicants, and the Cultural Affairs Council convened on June 17, 2026, and unanimously recommended funding all 22 applicants. The funds were allocated via the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Miami-Dade County budget. Ashlee Thomas, Interim Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs, is responsible for monitoring the grant contracts.
