EEL OPTION TO PURCHASE SOUTH DADE WETLANDS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering accepting an Assignment of Option to Purchase approximately 10 acres within the Environmentally Endangered Lands Program South Dade Wetlands Project. The property is being sold by Timothy H. Noto and Ellen C. Noto, as Personal Representatives of the Estate of Rachel M. Noto, for a purchase price of $3,500,000.00. Funding will come from Building Better Communities General Obligation Bond funds. The Nature Conservancy is the assignor, and Miami-Dade County is the assignee. The Recreation, Tourism, and Resiliency Committee forwarded this item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation. The property is located at SW 344 St & SW 169 Ave and is within the Urban Development Boundary. This acquisition is part of the EEL Program's goal to preserve environmentally endangered lands.
