Miami-Dade County is seeking to modify Field Permit No. 8042676-DA, which currently allows mechanical beach cleaning for sargassum removal at specific locations. The proposed modification would grant the County discretion to select additional sargassum hot spots for cleaning without requiring further Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) approvals.
