INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH DORAL

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving an Interlocal Agreement between Miami-Dade County, through the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR), and the City of Doral. This agreement establishes a dedicated customer service representative stationed at Doral's main office to assist the design professional community, patrons, and employees with the MDFR review and inspection process. The City of Doral will fund the salary and associated fringe benefits for this MDFR personnel. The agreement was introduced on March 16, 2026, and adopted on May 5, 2026. The Safety and Health Committee forwarded the item with a favorable recommendation on April 13, 2026. The City of Doral had previously approved this agreement on February 18, 2026. The purpose is to enhance customer service, reduce review delays, and provide on-site technical guidance due to sustained development activity and increased volume of fire plans reviews in Doral.
