RESOLUTION APPROVING FIRST AMENDMENT TO LAND EXCHANGE

Miami-Dade County Commissioners approved the First Amendment to a Land Exchange Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The amendment modifies the original agreement, primarily by removing the condition that the Public Health Trust obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM for environmental remediation on the County Parcel. Instead, the parties agree to accept the remediation performed to date and will continue groundwater monitoring post-closing. This amendment facilitates the exchange of land parcels to support the Public Health Trust's new Emergency Department expansion project at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The County Parcel (Folio No. 01-3135-061-0010) is 48,456 square feet, and the College Parcel (Folio No. 01-3135-106-0010) is 48,102 square feet. The amendment also revises the closing date definition and adds provisions for post-closing cooperation on information exchange.
