RESOLUTION APPROVING FIRST AMENDMENT TO LAND EXCHANGE

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved the first amendment to a land exchange agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The original agreement, approved on December 3, 2024, aimed to allow the Public Health Trust to use the College Parcel for parking to support its Emergency Department Expansion Project. The amendment removes the requirement for the Public Health Trust to obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM as a closing condition, modifies environmental remediation provisions, and adjusts closing date definitions. The Safety and Health Committee recommended forwarding the resolution with amendments on July 13, 2026.
