Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved the First Amendment to a Land Exchange Agreement between Miami-Dade County and the District Board of Trustees of Miami-Dade College. The amendment modifies the original agreement, primarily by removing the condition that the Public Health Trust must obtain a No Further Action Letter from DERM for environmental remediation on the County Parcel before closing. The amendment also revises environmental remediation provisions, modifies the closing date definition, and establishes post-closing cooperation for information exchange. The original land exchange was approved to allow the Public Health Trust to obtain land for parking to support its Emergency Department Expansion Project at Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
