Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a Tri-Party Railroad Reimbursement Agreement for the installation and upgrade of railroad crossing traffic control devices. The project involves replacing and modernizing safety equipment at the NW 17th Avenue crossing. While FDOT will fully reimburse the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) for installation costs using federal funds, Miami-Dade County will assume ongoing financial responsibility for approximately 50 percent of annual signal maintenance costs and future reconstruction or improvements initiated by the County.
