CEI SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE UNDERLINE

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to approve Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for professional services related to The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. This agreement is with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services. The proposed action will increase the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83, bringing the total to $8,252,721.83, and extend the contract term by 270 calendar days, for a total of 1,654 calendar days. These adjustments are necessary to align CEI services with an expanded scope and extended schedule for the project, which includes community-driven enhancements, safety improvements, and additional amenities. The additional services will support enhanced quality assurance, increased inspection and coordination for new project elements, and extended construction oversight due to schedule impacts. The project is a 7.36-mile multimodal corridor beneath the Metrorail system, including bicycle and pedestrian paths, bridges, landscaping, lighting, drainage, and related infrastructure. The funding source is Mobility Impact Fees (MIF). The item was forwarded to the BCC with a favorable recommendation from the Transportation Committee.
