CEI SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE UNDERLINE

Miami-Dade County is seeking approval for Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to a Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services contract with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. for The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. This agreement will increase the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83, bringing the total to $8,252,721.83, and extend the contract term by 270 days to a total of 1,654 non-compensable calendar days. The increase is necessary to ensure continuous and adequate construction oversight due to an expanded scope and extended schedule, including enhanced quality assurance, increased inspection for added project elements like Wi-Fi, and extended oversight for schedule impacts. The Transportation Committee forwarded this item to the Board of County Commissioners with a favorable recommendation on July 14, 2026. The project is located within Districts 5 and 7 but provides countywide benefits.
