Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to a professional services agreement with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. The agreement aims to increase the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83 to a total of $8,252,721.83 and extend the contract term by 270 non-compensable calendar days to a total of 1,654 days. This increase is necessary to support expanded scope, extended construction duration, enhanced quality assurance with a dedicated materials laboratory, increased inspection for added project elements like Wi-Fi, and extended oversight due to schedule impacts. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item with a favorable recommendation. The original CEI contract was approved on April 4, 2023, for a 7.36-mile multimodal corridor project.
