Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Doral for on-demand transportation services. The agreement, effective retroactively to December 23, 2025, authorizes the use of the City of Doral's municipal share of Charter County Transportation System Surtax proceeds for the operation and maintenance of these services. The City of Doral has been operating this service since April 2024, utilizing four Tesla Model X vehicles provided by Freebee. The service operates stop-to-stop, connecting residents to key destinations within a five-mile maximum trip. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item with a favorable recommendation to the BCC. The agreement is for an initial five-year term with two five-year renewal options. There is no fiscal impact to Miami-Dade County as the City of Doral funds the program.
