Miami-Dade County is considering an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Doral for on-demand transportation services. The agreement, effective retroactively to December 23, 2025, will utilize the City of Doral's municipal share of Charter County Transportation System Surtax proceeds for operation and maintenance. The service, which began in April 2024 and is operated by Freebee using four Tesla Model X vehicles, provides stop-to-stop on-demand transit within and around Doral, connecting residents to destinations like pharmacies and supermarkets for trips up to five miles. The agreement has a five-year term with two five-year renewal options and no fiscal impact to Miami-Dade County. The matter is currently In Committee.
