Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Doral for on-demand transportation services. The agreement, effective retroactively to December 23, 2025, will utilize the City of Doral's municipal share of Charter County Transportation System Surtax proceeds for operation and maintenance. The service, which began in April 2024 and is operated by Freebee using four Tesla Model X vehicles, provides stop-to-stop on-demand transit within and around Doral, connecting residents to key destinations up to a five-mile trip. The agreement has a five-year term with two five-year renewal options and has no fiscal impact on Miami-Dade County. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item with a favorable recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners.
