ILA FOR PROVISION OF ON-DEMAND SERVICES WITH NORTH MIAMI

Miami-Dade County and the City of North Miami are entering into an Interlocal Agreement for on-demand transportation services. The agreement, which has a five-year term with two five-year renewal options, is funded by the City's share of Charter County Transportation Surtax proceeds and has no fiscal impact on Miami-Dade County. The service, which began in July 2023 and is operated by Freebee using four Tesla Model X and two Tesla Model Y vehicles, aims to enhance local mobility by providing stop-to-stop service within and around North Miami, including connections to key destinations. The service operates with specific hours Monday through Sunday. The Board of County Commissioners is set to approve the agreement, with a recommendation for approval from the Transportation Committee.
