Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved an Interlocal Agreement with the Village of Key Biscayne for the regulation of micromobility devices, electric bicycles, and motorized scooters on county roads within the Village. The agreement authorizes the Village to enforce county ordinances related to these devices and allows the Village to adopt additional restrictions, provided they are included in the agreement and adopted by municipal ordinance. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to execute the agreement. The agreement aims to support the safe use of these devices and promote environmental goals.
