Miami-Dade County is considering an Interlocal Agreement with the Village of Key Biscayne for the regulation of micromobility devices, electric bicycles, and motorized scooters on county roads within the Village. The agreement would allow the Village to enforce county ordinances related to these devices. The matter is currently in committee. The agreement aims to promote safe use of these devices and support environmental goals. The Village may adopt additional restrictions on micromobility devices on county-owned roads within its boundaries, provided these are included in the interlocal agreement and adopted by municipal ordinance.
