LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH KELCO

Miami-Dade County is approving a retroactive license agreement with Kelco Dadeland Associates, Ltd. (Kelco) for the use of County real property to maintain an illuminated directional sign. Formal bid procedures are being waived. The agreement has a five-year initial term, retroactive to February 7, 2026, with four five-year renewal options, for a total potential term of 25 years. Kelco will pay annual rent starting at $6,000, with a three percent increase each year. The County may terminate the agreement with 180 days notice if the property is needed for other purposes. Kelco is the only entity legally authorized to maintain the sign due to prior zoning variances and vested rights.
