MOU WITH FDOT FOR COUNTER SYSTEMS ON COUNTY OWNED TRAILS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a resolution to ratify a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the installation and maintenance of two counter systems on county-owned trails within the Florida Shared-Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail Network. FDOT will fund and maintain the hardware, while the County's role is limited to approving locations and coordinating schedules. The MOA has a term of less than one year, from September 24, 2025, to September 23, 2026. The resolution also delegates authority to the County Mayor or designee to enter into future similar agreements with FDOT for additional counter systems, provided they have no negative fiscal impact on the County.
