OFF-SYSTEM AGREEMENT FOR LOCAL ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS

Miami-Dade County is approving an Off-System Construction and Maintenance Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for roadway improvements along SR 934/NW 74th Street Connector from west of NW 77th Court to east of Red Road. The project includes work on NW 74th Street Connector and NW 72nd Avenue. Specific improvements include reconstruction of sidewalks, curb ramps, milling and resurfacing, widening, striping, and traffic separators. The project is estimated to cost $5,900,000 and will be funded and built by FDOT, with Miami-Dade County responsible for future maintenance. The anticipated construction start date is March 2027. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation.
