OFF-SYSTEM AGREEMENT FOR LOCAL ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is set to approve an Off-System Construction and Maintenance Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for roadway improvements along SR 934/NW 74th Street Connector from west of NW 77th Court to east of Red Road. The project, identified as Project No. FM452566-1-52-01, includes work on NW 74th Street Connector and NW 72nd Avenue. Specific improvements involve reconstruction of sidewalks, curb ramps, milling and resurfacing, widening, striping, and installation of a traffic separator, curb and gutter, loops, and signage. FDOT will fund and build the project, estimated at $5,900,000, with an anticipated construction start date of March 2027. Miami-Dade County will be responsible for ongoing maintenance. The Transportation Committee forwarded the item to the Board with a favorable recommendation.
