The City Council approved a structure lease agreement with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC for a telecommunications facility. The agreement is for 10 years and will generate revenue for the City, improving cellular service capacity. The City Council also adopted Resolution No. 2026-17, approving and adopting the 2026 Lake County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation and Resilience Plan, which is necessary for FEMA grant eligibility. The City Council recognized Edson and Carla Pereira for their 29 years of service as owners of Piglet's Pantry. The City Council also approved Resolution No. 2026-18, naming the football field at the Frank Brown Sports Complex in honor of Johnny James "Tonk" Copeland. The name was amended to Johnny "Tonk" Copeland. Public comment was opened for both resolutions, but no one spoke.
