Approximately 75 elite amateur golfers, ages 15-23, are expected to participate, with 67% requiring overnight accommodations. The event is projected to generate 137 room nights in Pasco County hotels. The TDC recommends funding of $1,644.00, at $12.00 per room night. [Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus; case DMO26-0105] The Tourist Development Council (TDC) recommends approving a Sports Event Funding Agreement for the Sunshine State Games Taekwondo Championships, organized by Florida Sports Foundation Inc. The event will be held at Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus on June 20-21, 2026, and is expected to bring 294 competitors aged 4 to 60+. The event is projected to generate 264 room nights in Pasco County hotels. The TDC recommends funding of $3,168.00, at $12.00 per room night. [Sunwest Park; case DMO26-0106] The Tourist Development Council (TDC) recommends approving a Sports Event Sponsorship Agreement for the Florida’s Sports Coast Pro Am Beach Soccer Challenge, organized by Viaports International LLC (Pro Am). The inaugural event will be held at Sunwest Park on June 20–21, 2026, and is expected to attract approximately 40 teams. The TDC proposes $2,000 in support for marketing expenses. [Starkey Ranch District Park; case DMO26-0107] The Tourist Development Council (TDC) recommends approving a Sports Event Funding Agreement for the Dixie Softball World Series, hosted by West Pasco Girls Fast Pitch Softball Association, Inc. The event will take place at Starkey Ranch District Park from July 25-28, 2026, featuring competition in the Belles and Debs Divisions for athletes ages 13-19. It is expected to attract up to 22 teams and generate approximately 324 room nights in Pasco County hotels. The TDC recommends funding of $3,888.00, at $12.00 per room night. [Saddlebrook Resort; case DMO26-0108] The Tourist Development Council recommends funding of up to $5,000.00 from the Group Meeting Incentive Program for SafePoint Insurance to host their premium milestone celebration at Saddlebrook Resort on June 27, 2026. The event is expected to have 600 attendees and generate approximately 250 room nights. [Hyatt Place Wesley Chapel; case DMO26-0109] The Tourist Development Council recommends funding of up to $3,000.00 from the Group Meeting Incentive Program for the South Florida Progressive Primitive Baptist Church School Congress to host their Church School Congress at Hyatt Place Wesley Chapel from June 22-26, 2026. The event is expected to have approximately 160 attendees and generate 200 room nights.
