The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners met to discuss various pending proposals and approved projects. Local business opportunities are planned for a new civic building near State Road 417 and Red Bug Road, a 10-acre commercial development near State Road 417 and Red Bug Lake Road, and a mixed-use development at the intersection of State Road 417 and Red Bug Road. Additional opportunities exist for a new Public Defender building at the Seminole County Courthouse Complex, a 10-acre residential development near State Road 417 and Red Bug Road, and a mixed-use development at State Road 46 and County Road 427. A new Tax Collector building and a new LYNX facility are also planned, along with the acquisition of an office building in Winter Springs for the Utilities Department and construction of the Lockwood Boulevard Force Main and Reclaimed Water Main.
