The City of Apopka Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is considering a financial incentive program called the Building Code Assistance Program (BCAP). This program aims to encourage owners of existing commercial properties within the CRA district to make visible exterior improvements. These improvements could include façade enhancements, building expansions, renovations, and activations. The program is currently under review. If approved, it would help property owners and eligible business tenants cover costs for design, labor, installation, and materials for projects that improve building aesthetics and support economic vitality. This initiative could create opportunities for contractors, suppliers, and service providers involved in exterior renovations, construction, and design. Reaching out to the CRA early could provide an advantage before specific project plans and funding are finalized.
