Lake County Schools (LCS) Information Technology plans to offer a dedicated, hidden Wi-Fi network for School Resource Officers (SROs) and School Resource Deputies (SRDs) on district property. This network is intended only for official agency or district business. All regulated data must be transmitted securely using agency-managed VPN connections and cannot be stored on LCS networks. Agencies are responsible for setting up and maintaining their VPNs to meet security rules. LCS may stop Wi-Fi access if a device seems to spread harmful software or threaten the network.
