A proposal is under review for waterfront improvements, including the potential installation of new docks and a structure along the seawall. The plan involves adding 2x4s from the bottom to the top of the seawall cap. This project is in the early stages of review, with staff currently unable to discuss feasibility or liability. The proposal is separate from an existing Day Slips project, and a FIND Grant will be sought again when available. The project is expected to involve revetment work for storm protection and will feature permanent docks with a design different from previous installations. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers in site preparation, marine construction, and related trades should consider engaging with city staff early to understand potential scopes of work as plans develop.
