Volusia County Fleet Management Services (FMS) is planning to offer a full range of services to the City of DeLand. These services include preventative and unscheduled maintenance, safety checks, contract maintenance management, and towing. FMS will also handle new vehicle numbering and data entry, provide monthly and annual utilization reports, and offer driver training. Additionally, FMS will manage vehicle washing when staffing allows, and cover parking and storage. This item is currently under review by the City Commission. The scope of work involves ongoing vehicle maintenance, repair, and management, including potential repairs to county fuel station facilities. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers in areas such as vehicle repair, towing, and potentially fleet management support could find opportunities. Engaging early before final service agreements are set could provide a competitive advantage.
