The City of DeLand is planning upgrades to its water treatment facilities to address PFAS contamination. This project involves constructing a new ground storage tank at the consolidated WTP 5, 6, and 8 facility and making minor modifications to pumping facilities. Finished water lines will be tapped to provide backwash water. The project is currently under review and has been adopted by the City Commission, with plans to seek funding through the State Revolving Fund. Work will include design, permitting, and construction of new storage and pumping systems. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early, as the City will procure professional engineering services and then advertise for competitive bidding for construction contracts.
