The City of DeLand is reviewing requirements for new residential subdivisions and multiple-family and nonresidential developments. Any new development within the city that will use the City of DeLand's wastewater collection and disposal system, if existing or planned for future expansion, must connect to this public system. This review is currently under consideration by the City Commission. This policy review could lead to future construction projects involving site preparation, utility connections, and building construction. Contractors, suppliers, and service providers in site preparation, utility work, and general construction may find opportunities as these requirements are finalized and projects move forward. Early engagement before final plans and permits are issued could provide a competitive advantage.
