The City of Destin is seeking to lease and manage a Park Property. This proposal, outlined in City Resolution 2026-05, has been discussed by the Okaloosa County Commissioners. While some commissioners support the City's request, others have directed a meeting with State officials to clarify objectives. The City's concept plan is currently under review, with a meeting between city and state representatives to discuss the park's future planned for a date between May 12th and May 15th, though it has not yet been rescheduled.
