Town Center Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Committee · 2026-04-15 · agenda_item
The Town Center Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Committee is reviewing long-term financial projections and available funding for potential projects. Approximately $16-17 million in funding is available from various sources, including CRA TIF funds, half-cent sales tax, gas tax, and transportation impact fees. Priority projects identified include the Destin Linear Trail, the Crosstown Connector for beautification and landscaping, and undergrounding utilities. The Destin Linear Trail is currently delayed awaiting easements. A storage facility at 237 Main Street is undergoing permitting updates. The former Chick-fil-A site has been demolished, and a new buyer is being sought. This review stage presents an early opportunity for contractors, suppliers, and service providers to engage as plans and funding are being aligned with the CRA Master Plan priorities. Early engagement can provide insight into upcoming needs for site preparation, utility work, paving, construction, and landscaping services.
