The City of Fernandina Beach is considering a plan to designate a blighted area and establish a Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). This area is generally located north to the Florida State Facilities at Dade Street, east to North 6th Street and Carlton Street, and on the south end includes the end of the marina area and continues south to Elm Street. The City Commission is reviewing resolutions to adopt this designation. This process is currently under review. If approved, the project could involve site preparation, infrastructure improvements, and redevelopment activities within the designated CRA. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to monitor this developing agenda item.
