The Gainesville Art in Public Places Trust met on June 3, 2026. They reviewed and ranked 21 artist applications for the RTS Eastside Bus Transfer Station Public Art Project, selecting three artists/design teams to advance to the conceptual design phase. They also discussed creating a community engagement plan for the Gainesville Police Department Public Art Project. A member requested that future artist proposals be submitted as PDF files only, which will be considered for future Calls to Artists. The next meeting is scheduled for August 5, 2026.
