The City of Jacksonville Beach is considering a two-year pilot program to allow licensed establishments to temporarily extend their premises into outside areas. This program aims to accommodate more guests for viewing Jacksonville Jaguars games during the 2026 and 2027 NFL football seasons. The proposed ordinance would allow up to six temporary premises extension permits per establishment per football season, in addition to the two normally allowed. These extensions would be permitted for a limited time around game start and end times, with sound limited to game broadcasts. This pilot program is currently under review by the City Council.
