The Land Use & Zoning Committee of the City of Jacksonville met to review several proposed developments. Potential local business opportunities are planned for a mixed-use development at Main Street and Central Avenue, covering about 10 acres. This project could involve work for land clearing and grading crews, civil engineers, utility contractors, concrete and paving companies, framers, roofers, electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers, landscapers, and building material suppliers. Another mixed-use development is under review at Main Street and Bay Street, which may also lead to future work for various trades and suppliers.
