The City of Kissimmee is reviewing a proposal to establish the Hilliard Isle Community Development District (CDD). This district, covering approximately 451 acres, is planned for the east side of Simpson Road, south of Osceola Parkway and north of Buenaventura Boulevard. The CDD will finance infrastructure improvements for the Hilliard Isle Mixed Use Planned Unit Development. These improvements include a master stormwater system, on-site roads, potable water and sanitary sewer systems, and landscaping. The project is currently under review, with the City Commission having recommended approval of the first reading. This process will set in motion site clearing, grading, underground utility work, road construction, and final landscaping. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early to understand the project's scope and potential needs before final bids and permits are issued.
