City Commission Meeting · 2026-04-21 · agenda_item

The City of Ormond Beach is reviewing an agreement that would allow the City to construct, operate, maintain, improve, add to, upgrade, remove, and relocate facilities on specific lands. This work must follow the Florida Department of Transportation's (F.D.O.T.) minimum standards for such facilities, as outlined in the F.D.O.T. Utility Accommodation Manual. Any new construction or relocation of facilities will need prior F.D.O.T. approval. If the F.D.O.T. does not approve new construction or relocation, or requires changes to existing facilities, the F.D.O.T. will cover the costs, including any necessary easement acquisitions. This item is currently under review. The project scope involves potential site clearing, grading, utility work, and construction or relocation of various facilities. Contractors, suppliers, and service providers in utility construction, site preparation, and related trades should engage early to understand the project's requirements and potential opportunities before bids and permits are finalized.
