The City of Pensacola has approved priorities for the FY2027 Westside Project. This includes several improvement projects such as Gibson School Site Redevelopment, Gregory Street Improvements, Wright Street Improvements, A Street Improvements, L Street Improvements, ACW Superfund Site Redevelopment, Alice Williams Rehabilitation, Connectivity to Legion Field & Global Learning Academy, West Main Street Improvements, and 2300 W Jackson Sidewalks. Other initiatives include the Barrancas Avenue Corridor Strategy, Baptist Hospital Redevelopment, Suntrail West Segment, a Small Scale Affordable Housing Rental Program, Affordable Housing Predevelopment Program, TIF Expansion/Plan Update, Residential Property Improvement Program, Residential Resiliency Program, and Commercial Property Improvement Program. These projects are in various stages, from planning and design through construction and implementation. The scope of work will likely involve site clearing, grading, utility work, paving, demolition, and construction trades. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early to understand the specific needs and potential opportunities as these projects move forward.
