The City of Port Orange is reviewing potential development for the Riverwalk property. City Manager Wayne Clark noted expressed interest in purchasing the property and mentioned a site visit is planned within the next few weeks. A code amendment may also be considered in June to incorporate specific requirements into written code. Additionally, there are positive discussions about Dunkin Donuts potentially relocating to the area. Mayor Scott Stiltner also asked staff to explore the possibility of restoring legal street parking along US-1 from Meeker Place to the northern City limits, following conversations with FDOT, as traffic counts on US-1 have decreased.
