c. Parks and Recreation Bond Projects Update

The City of Port Orange is reviewing several Parks and Recreation Bond Projects. The City Center Sports Complex project is expected to release bids on April 17 and go to Council for an award in June. The White Place Project is in design and permitting, with potential funding from ECHO. The REC West Project's architect award will be voted on by the City Council on April 21. The TPO is studying the feasibility of a Trail project. For the Coraci Sports Project Expansion, the City is in discussions to acquire land from Volusia County Schools and private owners. These projects represent potential work in site preparation, grading, utility installation, paving, building construction, and final landscaping. Local contractors, trades, suppliers, and service providers are encouraged to engage early to understand project scopes and timelines before bids and permits are finalized, offering an advantage in securing future work.
