The City of Winter Park's Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is reviewing potential improvements for Denning/Fairbanks Lake Rose and MLK Park Community Playground. These projects are currently under review, with a final quote obtained for a playground restroom concept. Staff are also researching best practices for miscellaneous enhancement funds, which could include street lighting, a Hannibal Square gateway feature, library kiosks, and housing improvement programs. A meeting is planned with an Orange County representative to discuss the CRA Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and parking. The Lake Rose project has also been submitted for a $1.5 million grant. This early stage presents opportunities for contractors, suppliers, and service providers to engage as detailed plans, bids, and permits are developed. Early outreach can provide an advantage in securing future work related to site preparation, construction, and related services for these community enhancements.
