A redevelopment plan is under review for the corners of W. Fairbanks Avenue and Denning Drive and Capen Avenue in Winter Park. The plan proposes to preserve and maintain existing landscape islands and live oak trees at these locations. However, these landscape features may be reduced in size by up to 15 feet in internal width and length, in line with current code. Credits will be applied for any parking that might otherwise be located in these two areas. The requirement to maintain the islands and trees will end when the City widens Fairbanks Avenue next to them. This item is currently under review.
