The City of Winter Park's Transportation Advisory Board Subcommittee is reviewing future traffic calming measures. Staff will provide information on current devices, policies from nearby cities, and potentially meet to review examples in the field. The committee will consider standardizing mid-block crossings and humps, and may re-prioritize the FL Greenbook. City staff and the committee plan to design devices for Lakemont before the road resurfacing project begins there. Additionally, guidance will be provided to address traffic calming at Clay Street and Orlando Avenue, a key route for emergency vehicles. This review stage presents an opportunity for contractors, suppliers, and service providers to engage early. Businesses involved in site preparation, grading, concrete, paving, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and landscaping may find opportunities as designs and plans develop.
