The Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is reviewing its Unified Planning Work Program for Fiscal Years 2026/27 through 2027/28. This program outlines the MPO's planned transportation planning activities. The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has reviewed and commented on various draft lists, including the FY2027-2031 Transportation Improvement Program, the 2026 Planning Study Priority List, the 2026 Transit Priority List, and the 2026 Joint Collier and Lee County Transportation Regional Incentive Program (TRIP) Priority List. They also reviewed and commented on the 2026 SU Box Funds Annual List of Project Priorities and the 2026 SUNTrail Priority List, and the Highway & Freight Priority List. The MPO has endorsed using SU funds to cover cost overruns on three sidewalk projects. This item is currently under review by the MPO Board. The work will involve planning, study development, and potentially construction oversight for transportation projects. Local contractors, suppliers, and service providers should engage early to understand upcoming planning needs and potential future construction opportunities as these programs are finalized.
