The Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is planning its Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for Fiscal Years 2026/27 and 2027/28. This program outlines transportation planning and related activities for the two-year period starting July 1, 2026. The UPWP will guide the allocation of federal, state, and local funds for transportation planning. Key activities include updates to the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and the Congestion Management Process (CMP), as well as transit planning, including a mobility-on-demand feasibility study and a major update to the Transportation Disadvantaged Service Plan (TDSP). The MPO is also focusing on developing a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan update and a Safe Streets for All Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.
