The Collier MPO's Local Coordinating Board has approved new service rates for paratransit trips, effective for Fiscal Year 2026/2027. These rates reflect an approximate 10% increase in the average cost to provide a paratransit trip in Fiscal Year 2025. The rate structure is determined by trip type, such as ambulatory or wheelchair, within the service area. The Collier County Board of County Commissioners will update current paratransit and transit fare policies at their April 28, 2026 meeting. This process involves reviewing and potentially changing existing fares for various services, including ADA fares, TD fares, and fixed route fares. The Collier MPO Board has also approved a resolution recommending Collier County be re-designated as the Certified Transportation Coordinator (CTC). This ongoing review of rates and fares presents opportunities for businesses involved in transportation coordination, fare collection systems, and related administrative services.
