The Indian River County MPO is planning to solicit new General Planning Consultants (GPCs) to perform transportation planning tasks. These tasks will include public involvement, long- and short- range transportation planning, transit planning, non-motorized transportation planning, and special project planning. The proposed contracts will be for three years, with an option for two additional years. This process is currently under review, with a recommendation to approve the scope of services and begin the selection process this summer. The work will involve developing plans such as a greenways plan update, a Transit Development Plan major update, a Bicycle-Pedestrian Plan update, and the next Long Range Transportation Plan.
